Kukicha Green Tea
Kukicha is a blend of tea leaves and tea leaf stems. It is slightly grassy. It has a light, mellow flavor with nutty notes. The lightness of the stems becomes a sweet sesame seed or chestnut note. For Japanese tea, Kukicha is very low in astringency.
How to Prepare Kukicha Green Tea
Use 1 teaspoon of tea per 8oz of water. Heat water to 175-180 degrees and steep tea for 2 minutes. 2oz of tea equals 25-30 teaspoons.
