Sencha green tea from the Shizuoka region of Japan. Our Sencha is a wonderfully delicate second flush (summer) tea whose soothing taste and fresh green scent make it a perfect everyday treat.
It is highly regarded for its quality and flavor. Shizuoka is one of the major tea-producing regions in Japan, known for its picturesque landscapes and ideal climate for tea cultivation. Some of the famous Japanese green teas, including Sencha and Gyokuro, are produced in Shizuoka.
Sencha is the most common Japanese green tea and is characterized by its bright green color, refreshing aroma, and grassy flavor. Gyokuro, on the other hand, is a shaded green tea with a sweeter and more complex taste, often considered a high-grade tea.
Use 1 teaspoon of tea per 8oz of water. Heat water to 175-180 degrees and steep for 2 minutes. 2oz of tea equals 25-30 teaspoons.
