Yerba Mate taste has been compared to that of green tea but with a more herbaceous, grassy character. Enjoyed hot or iced it can also be mixed with fruit juices for an energizing punch.

Steeping at 150° for 3-5 minutes.

Heat water 150° and steep for 3-5 minutes.

Just little about Yerba Mate: Yerba mate is a traditional drink made from the dried leaves of an evergreen holly, Ilex paraguariensis, a native plant of South America. Did you know that billions of billions people wake up every morning with teas or coffees, but what we don't normally hear is that in some parts of the world, these people wake up with drinking Yerba Mate; which is not a drink that we familiar with. Yerba Mate can be drink in so many ways and it only contains a moderate amount of caffeine compare to a cup of coffeine. But, it is awakaning as coffee and it is better. It boost energy. One thing we would like to point out here is that how many of us actually know that the benefit of caffeine of enchanes memory, mood and alertness?

There are many ways to prepare yerba mate that range from super simple to a little more involved. It can be prepare as simple as using any loose tea teapot with strainer. If you’ve got a French press, you can make yerba mate in it just as you would coffee. We love our IngenuiTEA 16oz tea infuser, we just add 2 to 3 spoon of loose Yerba Mate to it and steep. When you are ready for a more authentic experience, you can upgrade to drinking yerba mate from a gourd (calabash) with a silver straw (bombilla)
